When I was 18 and heading to fashion school at SCAD, I started my own blog to document my journey and share my passion for all things fashion. As I continued to explore the industry, I realized the power of sharing my experiences and love for all things chic. It allowed me to connect with family, friends, and new people along the way. It was a way for me to share who I was and what I loved. Now almost ten years later, I'm still creating and bringing love for all things chic living to my platforms.

After college, I jumped headlong into the fast-paced corporate fashion world, always eager to say YES to every opportunity that came my way. I knew that gaining experience was crucial to succeeding in this industry. Yet, even as I worked hard to advance my career, I never forgot about my passion project: Ashlan Amelia Blog. It was my personal oasis, a creative outlet that allowed me to stay connected to the fashion community I adored.
Still, I couldn't help but feel that there was even more to explore within the exciting world of style and design. That nudging feeling never quite left the back of my mind, urging me to push myself further and explore new avenues of creativity.

Little did I know that, only three months after leaving my corporate career to pursue my blogging and consulting full-time, I would meet the love of my life: Tyler. He's a marine and a general contractor, and when we decided to combine our backgrounds, magic happened. We bought our first home together and completely remodeled it, igniting a passion for design within us both. That's how Hartland + Co was born—a full-fledged design and construction firm that showcases our shared love for creating beautiful, functional spaces.

We're now living our dream of working together, bringing our unique skill sets and perspectives to every project we undertake. It's incredible to see how far we've come since those early days of renovating our first home, and we're excited to continue growing and exploring new opportunities within the world of design. Together, we're building a beautiful life and a business that we're truly proud of.
